Vivo is getting ready to launch the Vivo V5 Plus smartphone in India. The company has sent out press invites for an event on January 23, which clearly says the V5 Plus is coming next. Vivo launched the V5 in India in November 2016, and the V5 Plus is a different version of the phone. Vivo’s V5 series is all about the selfie camera and the new V5 Plus will likely sport a dual-front camera. While it’s too early to get an idea of the pricing, one can expect the handset to cost somewhere near Rs 20,000 – 25,000.
There’s barely anything we know about the phone’s hardware barring the dual selfie cameras, so we could be in for quite the surprise on the 23rd of this month. Vivo has been a popular figure in the mobile industry with its feature rich mid-rangers selling pretty decently in the Indian markets.
Going by the name, it’s possible that this will be a slightly upgraded model of the Vivo V5. The V5 sports a 5.5-inch 720p display, a mammoth 20MP front camera, and 4GB of RAM. Given the “Plus” moniker being used here, expect to see a slightly beefier hardware specs sheet underneath.
