Lava introduced “Metal 24” Feature Phone Launched at Rs. 2,000

Indian smartphone company Lava today introduced a new ‘Metal Series’ of feature phones with the launch of the Lava Metal 24, priced at Rs 2,000. The feature phone is available across retail stores and multi-brand outlets in India. Lava is the first company to offer a feature phone with a metal body.

A majority of the Indian population still sticks to feature phones. They purchase feature phones on a regular basis and use it, especially in smaller towns and villages. Many users still prefer the feature phones as they are easier to use, not too bulky, the battery lasts long and there’s no fear of losing them. The people who cannot afford a smartphone, a feature phone is a great way to stay connected.

Lava Metal 24

The Lava Metal 24 comes with two colour options of black and gun metal. It comes with a metal back finish with the camera lens placed horizontally on the top end. It measures 122x51x11mm and comes with features like FM with recording, internet browsing, and USB-PC connectivity. The phone comes with re-loaded games like ‘Snake’ and ‘Need for Speed’.

The recent report says that mobile handset shipments are expected to reach 256 million this year and feature phones would contribute 59 percent of the overall market.
